Work together.
Keep the takeoff clear.

Collaboration works best when everyone knows what they own, what they can change and how the result will be reviewed. We help you establish that approach in zzTakeoff.

Agree the workflow before dividing the work.

Set up the workspace

zzTakeoff workspaces bring projects and people together. Decide who manages access and which projects belong in your company workspace.

Define the scope split

Divide work by trade, area or another clear boundary. Record exclusions and interfaces so two estimators do not count the same item or leave a gap.

Plan the review

Assign responsibility for checking quantities and issuing the result. Make the drawing revision and report purpose clear before the pricing handover.

A simple example: two estimators, one job.

One estimator measures floor finishes while another works on ceilings. Before starting, agree room names and how areas around stairs or openings are treated. A reviewer then checks the combined scope and any exclusions. The software supports collaboration; these working agreements make the output easier to trust.

A few useful answers.

Can external people collaborate?

zzTakeoff supports shared workspaces and project access. What a person can view or edit depends on the permissions granted; review these for your intended workflow.

Does collaboration replace a review process?

No. Agree who checks the work and how revisions are handled, even when everyone can see the same project.

Can you help us improve an existing setup?

Yes. We can review how the team currently organises projects, divides scope and hands quantities over for pricing.
