zzTakeoff Formula Builder — build, test and share takeoff formulas

Build a zzTakeoff quantity formula with measurement tags, test it with your own numbers before committing, and browse the community library of proven formulas — contributed by estimators, reviewed before publishing, and rated by the people who use them. The same library loads automatically into the DBx Connector Formula Helper.

Formulas are math.js expressions with [tag] measurement references. Function names are lowercase.

Functions & operators

Paste the formula into an item’s Formula (Qty) field in zzTakeoff. Unresolved tags silently become 0 in zzTakeoff — the live check above catches syntax errors and reserved characters (. : /) in tag names before they bite. In the DBx Connector Template Studio the same builder saves formulas straight onto your template lines.
